Journeyman Technician - Installation & Maintenance in Electronic Security

Your responsibilities

Security system installation

• Install and configure intrusion alarm systems

• Install surveillance cameras (CCTV / IP)

• Install access control systems

• Install and program various electronic security equipment

Programming and configuration

• Program alarm centers

• Configure communication modules and peripherals

• Ensure the complete commissioning of installed systems

Wiring and technical installation

• Perform low voltage wiring

• Install equipment according to plans, diagrams, and technical specifications

• Ensure clean, safe, and compliant installations

Diagnosis and maintenance

• Quickly diagnose technical problems

• Perform repairs and maintenance of systems

• Optimize the performance of existing installations

Customer service

• Directly intervene with customers

• Provide a professional and courteous service

• Explain the operation of installed systems

Field work management

• Maintain an organized service truck

• Efficiently manage tools and materials

• Plan and execute interventions autonomously

Desired profile

Required qualifications

• CCQ card

• ASP Construction card

• Valid driver's license

• No criminal record

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic security

Technical skills

• Installation of intrusion alarm systems

• Installation of surveillance cameras (CCTV / IP)

• Installation of access control systems

• Programming of alarm centers

• Reading and interpretation of technical plans and diagrams

• Low voltage wiring

• Diagnosis and resolution of breakdowns

Desired knowledge

• ULC standards

• Requirements of the Private Security Bureau (BSP)
